Once you’ve decided that you want to head out on an RV trip and see the country, you might not be sure where to start. There are so many different places to see and attractions and national parks all over the US that make for a large number of incredible vacations. So how do you pick where to go? It all depends on what you want to do and see. Hiking, mountaineering, fishing, and more, there are endless options. To make your decision a little easier, we’ve put together three of our top RV rental trips that you will absolutely love!
The West Coast
There’s so much to see on the west coast. From beaches to the desert in just a matter of hours, there’s a wide variety of attractions to visit for a weekend or an extended trip. Starting in LA, you’ll head up to San Francisco. Along the way, you can stop by Pebble Beach, Monterey, and Big Sur. Once you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, park at the Petaluma KOA which includes its own petting farm. Before heading south, stop by Yosemite and camp there for a couple of nights. Then make your way through Sierra National Forest before heading to Utah to enjoy Zion National Park. If you still have time, end this west coast road trip in Flagstaff, Arizona centrally located near the Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend.
The Midwest
From Cheyenne, Wyoming to Mount Rushmore to Old Faithful, there’s so much to see in the Midwest. Starting the trip in South Dakota, you’ll be able to experience Mount Rushmore, one of America’s greatest icons. Few know about the Crazy Horse Memorial, but it’s definitely something that you should check out. Then, start the long trek to Yellowstone National Park. There’s a campground 40 miles in at Grant Village, located right next to Old Faithful. Right next to Yellowstone lies the Grand Tetons, an incredible spot for hiking, mountaineering, and fishing. The campground in Grand Teton is not the cheapest but the location makes it absolutely worth it. On your last stop on the Midwest tour, you’ll be staying in Fort Collins, a town that was once coined as one of the best places to live in the US. Right in the foothill of the Rocky Mountains, it gives you spectacular sights to see as you end your trip.
Northeast
Some of America’s most beautiful scenery can be found in the countryside of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Starting in Pennsylvania, you’ll be able to see the birthplace of the nation before heading to Washington DC. College Park is home to the closest RV park to DC and public transportation, with sightseeing buses that serve the campground. After spending a couple of days enjoying the historic sites in DC, head up to Niagara Falls. Along with the majestic falls, the campsite has many other attractions right next door such as Martin’s Fantasy Island. End your trip in New York seeing sites like the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Empire State Building, and the Hudson River.
