Arches National Park and photography go hand-in-hand. The entire city of Moab, where Arches is located, is a place so beautiful that you could point your camera anywhere and you’d get an amazing photo. With a wide array of hikes and viewpoints for every visitor, we have listed our favorite hikes that will get you the best photo for sharing with all of your friends, family and online community.

Delicate Arch‍

One of the most photographed spots in all of Utah, Delicate Arch truly is the symbol of Utah. With various viewpoints to see this arch, the best way to snap that Instagram-worthy photo is by hiking up and under it! Starting at the Delicate Arch Trailhead, this trail brings you 1.5 miles up slickrock to the base of the famous arch. Take a landscape shot, pose underneath, or simply enjoy the view to reward yourself with one of the best views in Utah.‍

‍Park Avenue‍

This trail provides breathtaking views of the stone columns known as Courthouse Towers. The Towers themselves can be seen at the Park Avenue viewpoint. However, we recommend hiking along the quick 2 mile trail so that you can appreciate the sheer size of these towers and snap a photo that you would not normally be able to get at the viewpoint!‍

Fiery Furnace‍

Fiery Furnace is a location in the park that technically has no trails. That being said, before hiking these narrow canyons you must first receive a permit from the Visitor Center. They offer the option for either a ranger guided hike through the Furnace or a day-use permit. Due to the Furnace being a maze of sandstone walls, we recommend the ranger guided option! The ranger will also offer the best advice for where and when to get that Instagram-worthy photo. ‍

‍Bonus: Corona Arch‍

A massive arch that can photographed from all angles, Corona Arch is not located in the National Park itself but is a short drive away. This moderate-rated 3 mile hike takes you along a trail that brings you up-close and personal with this massive arch. There is something unexplainable about the way it feels to sit under this arch and just gaze upon its scarred stone backdropped by blue skies.

One of the best parts about Moab is not just the beauty but the fact that the hikes do not require extended amounts of gear or time. As always, be sure to check with the rangers in the Visitor Center before hiking any of these trails in order to confirm weather and trail conditions.
